What the buyer pays

The dealer who buys a car on TopBid pays a buyer fee of 0.5% of the purchase price. There is no cap.

The fee is paid by separate check, due at the same time as the payment for the car. The payee and mailing address are in the payment instructions in the buyer's deal jacket.

The fee is shown on every bid and every Buy it now before the dealer commits.

Who gets texts

TopBid runs a private wholesale marketplace for licensed auto dealers. We text dealers only after they opt in, either by tapping "Text me" on their private bid page or by signing up at topbid.me/join. Opting in is never required to buy or sell with us.

What we text

• New wholesale cars available for your bid
• Bid confirmations, outbid notices and counter offers
• Deal updates: signed paperwork, payment, title and pickup
• Replies to texts you send us

Program name: TopBid Dealer Alerts. Message frequency varies, usually a few messages a week. Msg & data rates may apply.

Opt out or get help

Reply STOP to any message to stop all texts. You'll get one confirmation and nothing after that. Reply START to sign back up.

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
